EPIDEMIOLOGÍA Y ECONOMÍA COMPORTAMENTALES: UNA CONEXIÓN PROVECHOSA PARA EL ÁMBITO DE LA SALUD PSICOLÓGICA, CON ESPECIAL REFERENCIA A LA COVID-19
Resumen
This article highlights the need for a useful systematic connection between behavioral epidemiology and behavioral economics, in the context of the infectious pandemics that
plague the world in the 21st century, and on the understanding that the problems that largely underlie at the appearance of those they are of a behavioral type; that is, bad lifestyles and
taking health risks. Faced with this, it is known that both epidemiology and behavioral economics have a wealth of research-based interventions, and for this reason they are
currently serving to suggest to world health organizations a series of measures to prevent and reduce contagion in the population. However, such collaboration could be made more
effective by more consciously combining the strengths of both interdisciplines within behavioral medicine and psychological health.
