ESTILOS DE AFRONTAMIENTO EN ESTUDIANTES DE SECUNDARIA CON ALTA Y BAJA ACTITUD HACIA LA AUTORIDAD INSTITUCIONAL DE UNA INSTITUCIÓN EDUCATIVA DE SAN JUAN DE MIRAFLORES
Resumen
The present study compared coping styles in students with high and low attitudes towards institutional authority in 265 secondary school students of both genders. The study was an
empirical, cross-sectional, comparison of contrasting groups design, using the Adolescent Coping Scale ACS and the Attitudes Toward Institutional Authority Scale AAI-A as
instruments. The coping styles with the highest prevalence in the very high level are active coping with the problem (23.8%), social distancing (24.2%) and the search for social and
emotional support with the problem (23.8%). In relation to the positive attitude towards institutional authority, the prevalent level is low (30.6%), while in the positive attitude
towards transgression (63%) of the participants present a very high level.
