Resumen

The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between quality of life and emotional intelligence in fifth-year high school students from a public educational
institution in Ica - 2020. This study is of a basic and substantive type with correlational design. The sample consisted of 68 adolescents (49 males and 19 females) aged 15 to 18.
Sampling was census. The instruments used for data collection were: Olson and Barnes' Quality of Life scale and Bar-On ICE's Emotional Intelligence Inventory. The results
showed that there is a significant positive relationship between quality of life and emotional intelligence, the quality-of-life level corresponding to an average level was
also found with 54.4% and the level of emotional intelligence with 51.5% on an average level.
