Resumen

The purpose of this research is to determine the psychometric properties of the parental socialization styles scale in students from national schools of UGEL 01, the sample was 1103
high school students between 12 and 18 years of age. The exploratory factor analysis yielded a KMO of 0.67 and a highly significant value p <0.05 in the Bartlett test of sphericity, for both
scales of the father and the mother, obtaining a structure of two factors which explain 63.76% and 61.39 % of the total variance for each scale respectively. Likewise, in the confirmatory
factor analysis, a GFI = 0.974 and GFI 0.979 were obtained, confirming the initially proposed model, thus the two-dimensional internal structure was evidenced, from which Musitu and
García elaborated the instrument; In addition, a Cronbach's alpha is obtained for the acceptance/involvement dimension of 0.88 and 0.90 for the father and mother scale and in the
coercion/imposition dimension a Cronbach's alpha of 0.94 and 0.95 for each scale respectively, which which indicates that the instrument is reliable. Finally, the scales were drawn up taking
into account the differences regarding the sex and age of the students.
